Not really new thread material, so I'll plug it here

Here's an interesting stat. The Car-GB Match-Up shows the last 5 games.

Reflection's good, but I think the Peete/Weinke thing's been done, too.

The Smith/Peete thing is very valid. Of course, Smith may not be out there for us in two years and Peete most likely won't be. The difference is, if Smith falters toward the end of the year like he did last year, we have Foster. He'll be that future, you assume. There's the difference.

Understood. I don't want a Weinke/Peete thing going, but the QB/RB play that we're getting now is what Fox wants and that's why we're winning.

On Smith, a few more games like he's had, I think he needs a new contract, and I think he gets it. Foster will be very hard pressed to see the starting line-up this year. The OL loves blocking for this guy.

On Peete, he may be around next year, but I'm not sure if he's a starter. He is still younger than Gannon and not near the mileage. Bottom line is the QB that is playing will have to produce as well as Peete. That was the message he gave why Peete was starting, and we all questioned it. (most of us anyway) Fox really had no other reason than the one he gave and i think that's great.

He's got a good contract filled with incentives already. No reason to give him more money when we have someone younger on the bench who's ready to contribute as well. I'm glad he'll get his incentives and will make it through next season, but Foster won't be sitting all game and he'll still be a starter by next season at the worst.
