Well, we're going to draft him with our 1st pick.

    ....and King does suck.

Ok, that sounded a little like a smart-ass, ok a lot like :D

Really, I became this huge Palmer fan after he interviewed on Rome about mid-season. Then from following him more, I just think he's awesome. I am so convinced he will become a Panther. Maybe I have ESPN or something, but when all the chips fall, Palmer will end up a Panther.

obtw, I also knew about Morgan and Peppers, just not this early. We'll just call it my hunch.

As for King, well, I just don't want to go there. He's not the answer, not even a back-up answer. He's not an NFL quality QB IMO. I'd rather keep a close eye on the upcoming AFL season.

Y2 - I don't think we can have Palmer due to our draft position, period.

I also don't think that this team will make drastic moves to OBTAIN the top pick to get Palmer. I agree, I'd like him.

Looking at being between the 5 and 14 spot, we need to pick best available talent, offense or defense, or trade out of it.

And besides Palmer, who else would you sign at QB? Palmer and what other 2? Also - Fox didn't pick Fasani - HENNING picked Fasani.

I actually heard it on FNZ. It was mentioned on CBS also, by Dan Marino, I think.

Wow the options are depressing. It woulda been nice if CAPERs had handled Collins better. We had our franchise QB and he muffed it.

I really don't want Plummer here. I'll take Peete and give him some weapons, if it came to that.

One thing I'm starting to wonder though. And really -- all this is, is wondering -- could part of Plummer's problem be a lack of a decent OC? I heard a commentator say yesterday he's at his best in the 2 minute drill when he's calling his own shots. Granted that's almost always against a prevent D, but still... Just something to ponder.

I still don't want him here, though.

Oh, and just my $.02 on King -- he wouldn't be bad, maybe even an upgrade in some respects over Peete, but I highly doubt he'd lead us to a Super Bowl. Playoffs maybe, but not the Super Bowl.
