Peete...now vs then

Discussion in 'Carolina Panthers' started by Tiorted Snoil, Sep 4, 2002.

  1. When he played for the Lions he was listed at 6 feet tall and 193 pounds.

The Panthers have him listed at 6 feet tall and 230 pounds.

The man is out of shape.

He's like 56. Of course he's out of shape.

    I wonder how he'll do.

  3. I guess the extra fat around his ribs and ass will help protect him from injury...

I question his stamina...he missed all of camp...has had no conditioning...what's this guy gonne be like in the 4th qtr?...all that extra weight is going to catch up to him then.

It could be worse, they could be starting the season in hot and humid tampa bay...he'd probably last about a quater there.

Seriously, I can't remember a fat ass QB as bad as this guy....

I'm hoping he throws for 400 yards and 5 td's against Detroit.

    Of course, it'll be 40 yards and 5 int's.

Didn't he beat Bama? A few times?

Yeah, but at least Mitchell was 6'10"! Does that mean Rodney isn't overweight, he's undertall? :laugh1:

(That argument doesn't work for me either)

  8. Detroit has a way of making their ex-QBs look real good against them so I pretty much expect that to happen. Mitchell beat them with Cincy...Kramer beat them with the Bears....Batch did pretty good in the pre-season. I can't recall Peete playing against them since he left.

    Mitchell wasn't that fat...
