I can agree with that, but it's Roger Clemens, the notorious head hunter pitching to him the inning after one of his guys get hit. He obviously can't hit Manny without getting tossed from the game so it is a definite possibility that he threw one HEAD HIGH but over the plate to atleast get Manny thinking.

Good thing that came out of thise game for the Red Sox was that after all of this happened, Pedro pitched a perfect ball game along with the pen. Still the offense is going to have to show up eventually and preferably today with Burkett on the mound.

You guys blind loyalty to the BO Sox is hiliarious. I could care less who wins as I am a NL fan but to give Pedro a free pass on this is freaking pathetic. The pitch didn't get away from Pedro. He is a freaking first ballot HOF who can put a ball on a dime from the pitchers mound. He is a head hunting hot headed latin player that thinks he can get aweay with it. He intentionally threw at GArcias head. Then he said to Posado amongst others that I can/will hit your head. If he wasn't a HOF pitcher they would have run him right then and there. I am the first to agree that Zimmer had no business running out there but as he has a metal plate in his head from a baseball pitched to the head it's a little easy to understand why he did it. Wossa is right the DH rule blows. If Pedro had to face live pitchers you can best bet he would have sore ribs as payback. Oh and Clemens is no better. Pedro has Garcia and Clemens has Piazza. Both classless fucks. One last thing, the grounds keeper needs better sense than to run his mouth in the opponents bull pen. Not condoning what Nelson or Garcia may have done.

well said PP. i agree with all but 2 things.

i missed the game yesterday and have actually yet to see the replay of the martinez/garcia incident. without seeing it tho, i would like to add this. yes, he does have pinpoint control. this is why i say, if he was actually trying to hit him in the head, garcia would have been hit IN the head.

the other is the groundskeeper. in no way should nelson or garcia have attacked him. no matter what he's saying. i suppose those yankee fans near the bullpen shouldn't run their mouth in new york? you're in a visiting ballpark, that shits gonna happen.

And it DID get him thinking - he whiffed at the next pitch that was two feet outside and is proabbly going to be overthinking the next time he faces Clemens. I hate to say it because I want the Sox to win but I think Ramirez is done for this series.

I agree with this too. I heard this morning the groundskeeper said he was waving his towel and pumping his fist. Now they are thinking they shouldn't charge Nelson and Garcia. What, he was asking to get the snot knocked out of him because he was cheering? Damn, isn't that what thousands of fans do?

I agree that Pedro was trying to hit Garcia but he wasn't intentionally aiming for his head. Anyone who watched the game can't deny that he was somewhat wild that inning and not hitting his spots with his pitches. Don't forget Pedro came from Montreal and he protected his guys there just like he does here.
