Wasnt really paying attention but the talking heads doing the halftime show of the Fins Viking game mentioned Bill Parcells maybe going to Dallas. Thats an interesting thought and would probably be a good move for the Boys.

That seems pretty crazy to me. I can't see Jones and Parcells together. No, that has to be somebody's fantasy.

It'll take longer than that for Parcells to convince Jerry Jones to stay the hell away from him while he's coaching.

parcells said they "did not discuss his moving" but later in the interview he said "it would take a lot more than that for me to make the move". i just wonder how $much$ more it would take. everyone has a number in their head and a value to their loyalty :(

*i am not sure what the interviewer asked him in reference to the "that" but it was clear parcells has considered the move.

    Jones has no class !!!

To announce the talks before the end of the season shows very poor taste. Hell, Campo had two more games to play !!

Wonder if that is why the Cow Pies sucked ???

Parcells negotiated with Tampa too. Maybe it is just to massage his outrageous sized ego. He better look at what happend to Jimmy Johnson and George Sea-Fart. Can't always make a comeback when the situation ain't right....................

Old COot who could care less where the Tunna gets canned.

I heard Parcells on ESPN today talking a bout it. He and Jones both say the talks were exploratory and no offer was made. Parcells said he would consider coaching again "if it was just the right situation -and there aren't many of those around."
I think Parcells just likes being courted. Considering the owners, I can't imagine what would make Dallas a better situation than Tampa Bay.

Are you kidding? Jones knows a hell of a lot more about football and wants to win probably more than half the coaches in the league. I thnk Parcels and Jones would make an awesome combination. And figure this, the short time Parcells would be there, Jones could learn sooo much from Bill. You really can't put a price on that. Not to mention the Tuna's ability to put butts in the seats. I think this deal gets done.

Sounded an awful lot like Parcells was using "weasel-speak" in answering those questions....

Edit: One of the things the talking heads on Sports Reporters pointed out this morning is that resurrecting a franchise like the Cowboys would be HUGE. That fits with Parcells image as a man with a not-so-small ego.

I don't think it'd work. Parcells coming in gives only one thing to the Cowboys - a scapegoat for getting rid of Emmitt and an easy out of the Quincy Carter situation. Basically, to rid Jerry Jones of his past GM mistakes without apologies.
But the struggles would keep happening between them, Parcells would take them to two average seasons, and then he'd leave again.
