    I hate to defend Henning, but, he really didn't have much to work with this season. If you gave Bill Walsh this personnel we would be calling for his job by midseason. That being said I think Henning's leash this season should be a short one.

    Walsh took over a team with less talent when he started as HC.

    I didn't want Payton. I don't like Henning's game management always, but at least you can't accuse him of failure WITH a talented team.

    Well Payton signed on in Dallas as "assistant head coach and quarterbacks mentor". I wouldn't have minded if he came here under those titles. We could have made him our QB coach and assistant head coach. In the end I think Henning staying will give us a better chance of showing GOOD improvement on Offense.

    BTW, Who is our Asst. Head Coach? Henning?
