I think everyone hopes it works out, and it could. I'd prefer us not to have another top 3 pick next year. Leftwitch could be the shit and all, but still. For cap reasons, and particuarly the "excitement" factor, or lack thereof. I'd like to draw more than Independence High.

In the end, those of us who are frustrated over this move seem to be so for one simple reason. We didn't get, from my view right now, a capable backup. And that's a sin whether or not your QB is Brett Favre or Chris Weinke. You never know when you are going to use him.

And there were more capable backups out there that went elsewhere to teams for the same money, with less chance to start. Doesn't mean they would come here, but we didn't seem to consider anyone who hasn't been around long enough for the last time Henning had a coordinator job.

Whether or not they saw this coming is moot. If they didn't, that may actually be worse, because Weinke certainly hasn't proven anything. There's some hope, he's got an arm, and a winning background, but that's basically it.

No one is calling fo Fox's head, so the "lynch mob" comparisons are laughable. One bad decision won't make or break this franchise.

I agree with you. And if Fox doesn't produce, he will be gone. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

I'd like to officially apologize to John Fox.

Peete didn't have a great second half, although we really didn't take a shot with him.

But we won. Peete made zero mistakes. Cool.

well, a third of it made the mark, barely. I have to imagine that the Lions game as well is a third, and then there's the decision coming out of the bye.
