Edit on the last thread I posted... depends on your definition of Talent... I can hear the broadcasters talking about Fasani saying he is a "real football player" and as far as able goes, that is a stretch for Winky... right now we have a team that is so so, an O line not very deep so when I think of an "able" guy, its gotta be a guy that can roll out or run forward... most able (winky) - no way.

It's not a fact, you can think whatever you want...but when we're talking about actual quarterback measurables, and not unrealistically weighing mobility first, there's no match on this roster.

I'm pretty interested in seeing how different Peete looks. I'm pissed it's blacked out. I'm hoping there's a TV in the press room - Hard to see the faces of players. I wonder if the players reacted differently - more confidently - when Peete is under center. I'm pissed I might not be able to find out.

Detroit will be blacked out also. As will Arizona, unless we win a few. Even then - Zona seems unlikely. Apparently there's 6000 tix left for Detroit.

Yep - I'm paying. Never paid for a Panthers ticket ever. Been to a dozen games in club and lower level seats. I gotta see this defense.

I can hear the rumors now... Richardson did not push for the sell out cause he has a black starting QB now... so he called for the blackout...

It's bad when you can sell out pre-season games, but not opening day at home. Really bad. Fox was hired to energize this team AND the fans. He's not producing.

What's that you say?, "the season hasn't started yet"? Has for Weinke.

I'll look it up, but I remember hearing some time after the so called "missed mini camps" that Weinke didn't participate in that thay had not finished the playbook, or barely started it. (something to that effect) So I'm not sure exactly how much time Weinke missed with book "in hand".

Something just smells like cat piss to me because unless Texas Peete and Fasini Fettichini can't go, Weinke is out as a Panther. JMHO

Fox continues down his present path and he's here two years tops. There is merit in the question about where was the staff while Weinke wasn't learning the playbook (if that indeed is the case). It's the staff's job to insure that the players are ready. Apparently, if you believe the rumors, they fell down on the job. Yet no one wants to lay any of the blame on the staff's failings. If you believe Weinke is your QB of the future, then why the hell are you allowing the rumors to persist? Will you not defend your guy? Unless you're looking for an excuse to unload the guy, you would think they'd make a case for him instead of leaving him twisting in the wind.

They've made questionable personel choices in both the draft and in FA so far. Signing a bunch of nickel backs instead of a starting quality CB, putting a band aid on the QB position, signing "He Hate Me" instead of Skip Hicks when you need a quality back up RB.

Charlie Batch and Eric Davis got similar money as Rodney Peete and DenRon Jenkins.
