    Re: GREAT START!

My thoughts exactly, CB. I have new hope we can split with the Dirty Birds, but as far as our division goes, that's it. TB and NO will almost certainly sweep us, barring key injuries, of course. We should beat ARI, DAL, and CIN. With a split with ATL, that would put us at 7-9, which would be a great season. If we manage to pull off a huge upset at GB and go 8-8, John Fox is NFL Head Coach of the Year, IMHO.

Actually, the Saints are now considered the best 3-0 team, .......ever!

Statistically, the 3 teams that they have beat to start the season have the best combined record last year of any other ever beaten by a 3-0 team. It's over a winning percetage of 70%. It's an NFL record. They also have the best combined record for this year too. In other words, the Saints are for real, and they have the respect of the league.

Ofcourse the Panthers opponents have a combined record of 0-9. But 3-0 is 3-0. We're still tied. (for now atleast ):D

  5. That was last year, Y2. The Saints self destructed last year, too. I don't buy into all the sports analysts crap comparing last year to this year. They had the Bucs winning the division based on last year. GB was going to the SuperBowl based on last year. The Panthers were bottom feeders based on last year. Blah, blah, blah.

Yeah, the Saints are for real and no one is more pumped about that than me. It feels great!

  6. Nah, not really. Just wondered what I was supposed to be scared of? The Panthers beating the Saints? Let's buy a couple of tix for November and hash it out over a few beers.

It's more of a power ranking type of thing, but it's is considered an NFL record. And not only by last years stats like I said, but this year win/lose record as well. If the Bucs win (which the won't) the combined record of the teams the Saints beat will be 6-3, each team being 2-1. That's the highest possible score and that's this year only.

But fuck ya if you can't be paid a compliment on the Saints. Stupid fuckers wasted a draft pick on McAllister, they could have kept Ricky and filled another position. Haslett let his ego make his decisions, and that will be his dowb fall, Haslett's a stupid fucker and I hope they lose out from here.

Amazing what having a coach and veteran QB can do for a team.

To be honest (and I know you were jooking muff a bit, Y2), McCallister fits what they are trying to do more than Williams. More of a speed back. It's better than what Haslet tried to do last year. He tried to make the team they had into a stretch the field team, and make Ricky a reciever, instead of just pounding him. Either play Ricky like the Dolphins are, or get a back that does what you like. That's what they did.

Williams is better IMO, and he's showing it, but McCallister is showing his abilities fit Haslett's scheme. If he can stay healthy, and they get something for Grant, Haslett will look pretty good.

Then again, if McCallister's injury bug a boo comes up, and Grant starts dogging it like the Bulldog he is......:p
