I doubt we told anyone he was a problem. Maybe the press speculated that with the weight thing. I believe, since he has made the PB we found we could get a lot of problems solved by moving him for the right price. We need picks, but likely will not get any takers for what is there at 14. So we move someone that will get us some.

I like this theory best. Hope they are just trying to kick him in the ass a bit. If we trade him, I'd be disappointed with anything less than a low first (and honestly i think that would be a steal for someone).

Either way, it seems to me that any team that makes an offer will need a DT more than we need to trade Jenkins, so there's no reason to settle for less than a high 2nd rounder if that's what they want.

I dont like letting Jenkins go for less than a 1st rounder.

    Bronco Trade:

How about Jenkins for DJ Williams

    Jets Trade:

    How about Jenkins for Vilma

See, now your mocking me. I thought they were 2 very reasonable trade options. Seems you all think Jenks is all of a sudden worth jack shit.

Admittedly, the papers arent spinning this in our favor. Id rather hold onto the idea that Jenkins is on his way to returning to the point where he was prior to his injuries, the best DT in the NFL. Id rather keep him two more years and get nothing in return than settle for a 3rd rounder. Remember, that 3rd rounder could be a bust and i dont trust our drafting that much.

Its not like Kemo excelled either, i dont like this move at all unless we come out trumps in a trade. Hurney better not fuck this up.

This would indicate they are expecting BIG things from Carstens, cuz Lewis doesn't play the run well.

You are not going to get a top linebacker for Jenkins. He missed two of the last three years and despite his probowl nod he was very quiet last year. He was a disruptive force inside who could collapse the pocket in 2003. He was little more than a space eater last year.

He was what the D asked him to be.
