We would have to trade about 3 #1 picks the rest of our draft, and half our team to get to #2 overall. (Maybe not quite, but you get the idea.) I don't think we could even get up in the top 10 without giving up picks we desperately need.

we're not trading up for the OT. That makes no sense. He's huge money, and the idea was to get more picks. Not find a way to give someone else most of our picks.

Just because the Giants staff failed him does not mean our staff would. As far as I know he plans to play for the Broncos this year, he has not retired.

I'm inclined to agree. It's almost the same paradox when people wanted to trade Moose away because he 'sucked'. Who wants to trade for a sucky WR?

Initially, I'd say that the Giants could've failed Wilson for reasons beside his neck - money, compensation, bad fit.

But he hasn't been anywhere else either.

I bet he plays this year, regardless.

Broncos | Team could be interested in Jenkins
    Mon, 9 Apr 2007 06:51:05 -0700

Mike Klis, of the Denver Post, reports the Denver Broncos will likely consider acquiring Carolina Panthers DT Kris Jenkins in a trade. Jenkins is reportedly being shopped by the team.

    Jenkins for Wilson? hehehehehe

nah, it's just our annual trade down with Denver for a 3rd rounder move if it happens.

If we're really gonna do this we need more than one team interested or it will be a third or something.

Denver has the 21st and 56th pick in the draft. Not sure if they'd want to give up a 1st rounder for Jenkins, but the 2nd is in the right range to trade, but then again I'm not sure the Panthers would want less than a 1st.
