I also like the fact that the Panthers seem to be a totally different team when they play with a sense of urgency this season.
Last year when the team played with any sense of urgency, like red zone or crucial third down, seems they screwed the pooch for the most part.

I love that they're using Darnold as a redzone runner. More of that, please. Honestly every 3rd or 4th and 1 in the redzone should be automatic QB sneak. None of these RBs are built to hammer out a yard against a jumbo defense.

We might have to accept reality about CMC. Even though he's still young, Rivera and the Turner family put a shit ton of miles on him.

Yeah, the black cat likes to keep the few superstars we've had oft injured, or early retirement.

Maybe Freeman is finally learning the offense. At 230+, maybe he can be the short yardage back

The management of CMC returns from injury this year and last are worrying from a coaching standpoint- going from 0 to 100% both times is aggressively and proactively stupid.

Knock wood he can play after a 10 day break. I liked how Darnold seemed to step his game after cmc went down

Also, the rook did look better after cmc went down. Before that, he didn't seem to do much really.

    He needs some catching practice.

Things I notice over the past 3 games (not an in-depth analysis - bb will likely do that):

Darnold is not bad. Last night his reads and passes were good mostly. He's better so far than what I expected.

There are lapses in coverage for the def, but mostly is covered up by the pressure.

Jackson has impressed me in his better tackling ability, as most all the d has been this year. Fuckers couldn't tackle shit last year. Now they're flying around in mass and making plays.

The special teams are not special at all. They can't cover a kick worth a shit and there's been no impressive return game.

They've played not so great teams and qb rooks so far, so we'll see next game, with or without cmc, how good they really are. Seems in the past when they get on a little roll and the media starts hyping them, they historically lay eggs most years. We'll see. I'm hopeful and a little more confident, though missing cmc for any length of time will certainly hurt the season even if they are above average or better.

They have taken care of bidness against teams they should have so far, which many times they haven't lately it seem, and is a good thing.
