That’s about where they belong. When you get your ass kicked in the division for FOUR straight years, that’s where you belong.

Well there's no ambiguity for the next head coach and GM. We clearly need to close the gap on the division. Overhauling this terrible secondary needs to be at the top of the list. All three of those quarterbacks own our soul.

Reid is an albatross. He's too small to move to linebacker, he's too slow to play safety, and he's too expensive to use as a part-time joker linebacker, which would be his best fit. We all knew it was a shitty decision to bring him back under that contract, and now we just have to embrace the suck.

When a season goes sideways, you get a mixed bag from the mercs. On a positive note, Gerald McCoy has been the anti-Reid. He was legitimately crushed about that offside penalty. He's brought it every single week. I hope they work something out and bring him back in 2020.

Am I reading it right? I f the Panthers were so inclined and cut Reid it would be 5 mil dead money on next year's cap. Which is projected to be just over 200 mil?

I'm not sure about the cap hit, but I'd take on whatever it is simply because we need to rebuild the secondary anyway. After two miserable seasons, hopefully the team brass is clear-minded enough to realize this. It will be hard to take this organization seriously if they don't make sweeping changes at defensive back.
