If Bryce gets the ball out quickly like Canales wants then that might not be an issue. I'm expecting us to run the ball behind our guards anyway, regardless of who's in at TE.

And on a tangential note, wasn't Ian Thomas well regarded for his receiving skills when he came out? It seems that he was someone who had to develop as a blocker, and now five years later it feels like that's all he's done.

I hope we don't ruin Sanders like that.

He was never thrown to at Indiana, but tested great at the combine, so we assumed he had untapped potential.

He just never became anything more than a big fast guy who can block decently. He's had four different OCs (six if you count Nixon and Norv Jr) and they've all reached the same conclusion.

I have zero expectations with the exception being disappointed again. As was said earlier, the owner is out of his league, pun intended.

I am almost willing to wager that you're going to see this today. I bet it comes down to 35 rushing attempts, and 30 passing plays.

It's not a coaching staff known for great running games, to put it mildly. It's the Bruce Arians system. The run game is a means to an end.

But I think they're well aware of the limitations of the passing game personnel. They'll skew run first, even if it's reluctantly run first.

The Chiefs used very quick, water bug type receivers to defeat the Ravens. They seem to through 5 yd passes to their receivers who pick up huge numbers in YAC. Their longer throws are to the TE. Mahomes was fantastic at hitting the quick guys on slants across the middle.

This was supposed to be Bryce Youngs strong suit. Hit the quick slants, outs and screens.

So lets see what Canalas has drawn up for today on the turf in NO Superdome

Yeah, I just want to see Tepper act normal for a year. No ridiculous, Glengarry Glen Ross-style weekly meetings with the coaches. No in season firings. No bi-polar encounters with fans. Just sit in your suite and be a gentleman.

I know that's asking a lot of him, but that's what I'm rooting for.
