Damn I wish we would have kept running the ball that last fumble. I know we didn't have much time left, but a field goal would have been better than a fumble. We lucked out on that last touchdown that got called back for Green Bay too. Defense is playing pretty well. I hope we can stop them on the opening drive of the second half. We really need to stay within 3.

On a bad note the one long, consistent drive we had was hallmarked by two personal fouls, two long Dee Brown runs and a Peete fumble. We have been able to get the ball down the field with the run and yet we can't put together a drive worth a damn because we feel the need to run on third down?

I'm out of beer. My growler didn't last very long.

It'd been nice to get something out of that last drive. But were just not a team that takes big chances on 3rd and long deep in our own territory. Particuarly with a lead, and with Moose out.

    Hankton - jeez. Another drop.

Ideally Hankton isn't in there. Still you throw to him if he's open downfield. Shit happens.

We look very average against a good quarterback. Way too many completions. People ask why we're not getting respect as an elite team, and yet we're being pushed around by an underpowered team. Now I think it's a little more clear as to why we need another CB and WR, because we're not going to be beating good teams with this third down run shit. The one time we probably should have - the one where Peete fumbled in FG territory - we didn't. Not to say "well that was a bad call because of the fumble". It's just that if we're going to be safe 90% of the time and then let loose when 3 points are on the line? We didn't fool anybody and 10-10 with them having momentum is still better than their lead.

I like Summerall but he sounds like he's losing his mind. Add our tongue tied head referee to it and this whole day sounds like a football game Neil Young wrote the script to, and then Joe Walsh edited.

We need a turnover, time for an interception.

There it is. That was what we needed. Maybe we can at least tie it up now.
