Panthers vs Giants Running Commentary - Preseason Edition

I only caught a few minutes of the late 3rd/early 4th quarter...but the D looked like they were getting after it.

 

You missed the first stringers getting their asses handed to them. Of course a few starters didn't play, but the secondary was giving the Giant WRs a block long cushion.

 

I'm still not going to worry until it's real. Denver gave up 21 points a game last year in preseason, but managed to tighten up once the games were real. Reich may seem soft, but Eviro is not.

 

That depends on what you choose to worry about. It's perfectly valid to throw out the scoreboard when it comes to preseason games, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't worry about an obvious lack of depth at CB/pass rusher/interior OL, horrible tackling, or the fact that the franchise quarterback is getting drilled on almost every pass.


DE's shouldn't be getting this amount of easy hits on Young. That's absolutely, 100% a major issue, and it doesn't get easier to fix against regular season defenses.
