I think I'd fire Ron just for the weak decision to kick a FG. It reminds me of him punting late in the Super Bowl down by 14. Weak and pathetic.

Well that was horrific, but hopefully it means the front office decides not to trade or release Cam. The secondary is atrocious, we just didn't notice when the pass rush was getting it done. Also, Butler is trash and we need to go back to four down linemen for Kuechly's sake. He's just not having his usual impact this season because blockers get on him too quickly.

 

I pointed out the latter in August. We have no business playing 3 man fronts. Ron's mismanagement of the defense over the last two years is unacceptable.

 

That was excellent play design by Atlanta, not poor design by Carolina. The Panthers were in a standard two deep coverage with the safeties splitting deep halves. I couldn't understand why neither of the safeties came over to help Kuechly but on the replay I saw that the Falcons ran three streaks, which you almost never see outside of hail mary situations. One on each side kept Boston and Reid occupied and they failed to recognize that Jones down the middle was the bigger threat. That's not on the coaches.

 

I'm getting a bit tired of repeating this but: Cam dresses funny in his press conferences. THE TEAM DOES NOT NEED HIM

 

I would avoid any scenario where a linebacker has to carry a wide receiver that far down the field, especially when it's 3rd and a mile. Play dime and let that defender be a DB.

 

I hate to imagine the face fucking coming next week at NO. We’ve had bad O lines, but this may be the worst. And the abhorrent lack of coaching judgment, and certainly preparation, continues to fester, and has, since 2016. Any college coach would have been gone for similar failure among divisional/conference rivals.
And while he’s cleaning house, please fire the fuck out of that vaudevillian radio broadcast team. Please.
