Hurney is probably the worst GM in NFL history. Everyone around here has clearly forgotten just how bad he is. Olindo Mare ring a bell? Mike Wahle? Extending Jake after his playoff meltdown? I could keep going on but I don't care to. Great guy, awful executive.




The fat man is shitty in his own right, but regarding Cam and his looming deal, I actually kind of like having Gettleman in charge of that since I don't at all comfortable giving Cam the biggest fucking contract in NFL history. Gettleman will probably just franchise him.

 

It was Pittsburgh who finally figured out that you could just throw up prayers against our secondary and either get big plays or PI calls, and every team has been doing it ever since. That was the night that we got exposed. It's still baffling how nobody really tried that in 2013. I know a lot of it had to do with the pass rush being dominant, but even when it wasn't teams weren't really bothering to test us deep.

 

Um, no. We had a vastly different roster. We were a good team, with good chemistry, and yeah a lot of things went right. But it was a sound group that played lights out, and we don't have most of those guys this year.

 

Oh trust me, I haven't forgotten about Hurney and Im sure most haven't either. I just am of the belief that Gettleman is just as bad. Maybe worse.

And I think Gettleman will take it in the ass with the Cam contract.

 

All of us including you were calling for Rivera's head during the season. What happened after 1-3 was lightning in a fucking bottle. It was the definition of a fluke. A great fluke, certainly, and I enjoyed every second of it. But a fluke nonetheless.




This year, 2012 and 2011 is the real us.

 

Sure, we were. But you think with the same roster we would be losing this season?

I don't. Maybe not quite as good, but I still think we're a playoff team.

I don't know....I don't know. I say that but I'm not 100% convinced. I don't fucking know. I don't fucking trust Rivera and his coaches at all...so I don't know.

I don't know which way is up or down around this fucking place anymore. I can't trust anything. I just know we stink now. I know we're far worse now than we were in his first two shitty years. We used to bitch about losing close games. Now the games are over midway through the first quarter.

 

I know everything.

 

The thing last year is with that start everyone was pissed because we knew we were better than that start. Which is why everyone wanted Rivera fired if we lost to the Giants.

This year with this dumpster fire of a roster is about what I think we all expected except for a few of the kool-aid drinkers. At this point I'd rather them fire Gettleman for putting this bullshit roster together.
