    Ernie Conwell

    Free-agent tight end Ernie Conwell visited with the Panthers on Thursday, and they are expected to make a contract offer to his agent today. Conwell also is being pursued by Jacksonville, and the St. Louis Rams have made an offer to re-sign him.

    I'm confused. Why are we talking to him when we threw to the TE's what a dozen times or so? Pick up another O lineman!

    I'll take him, he's not that bad at all. Seals the contain very well, holds ground in-line, good hands, average size. Hope we don't pay too much but anything we get in FA that helps now is another spot where we can add top depth with a rookie somewhere else. Just a shame we haven't done anything at RT.

    Yep, that's a big concern right now. That we must draft for need rather than getting the best player. We know you're on board, Colin, but if you photoshop him I'll have to delete it :p
