I would have thought that someone who claims to be as all knowing about football as you do would know in which month Johnson actually signed.....

What major changes has Richardson made due to fan pressure? I mean besides getting rid of that God awful "stand and cheer for the panthers" song and allowing people to bring in like 2 bottles of water.

I would have expected you to get what I was saying.

    Capers, Seifert, & Fox.

We already went 2-14 and got shit, all because the fans and local media are a bunch of morons. You've stated that you haven't been cheering Hurney's spending spree, but look at all the people who have. They're acting like Marty did something great instead of anal-raping the franchise for years to come. This is a guy who gave Jake Delhomme $42.5 million after arguably the worst performance in NFL playoff history. This is a guy who traded the #33 pick for Armanti Edwards. This is a guy who traded a first round pick for Everette Brown. This is a guy who just gave $35 million to a player who missed each of the last two seasons with ACL injuries. I've lost all hope that Hurney will ever be fired, because we've gone so far past what he deserved to be fired for that I can't imagine him doing anything worse.

Based on what proof? Just like kozel's question, you have proof of what?
"Because you say so"? Because you're so logical and reasonable - with your myriad of tactics to try to get people to "shut the fuck up and stop disagreeing" for an end goal that you'd determined before these actions happened?

so, you're unable to say that even "reasonable teams" probably would've re-signed some of 26 players ahead of time, and that those teams wouldn't have had as much cap space, had there been a CBA? I mean, if you want to keep dancing around it, do it, but there was a reason we were "2nd in cap room", and by your words, it wasn't because Hurney was somehow responsible in the past.
    SO which was it?
yes, yes, I "pretended" to think something.
This is ridiculous. Again, that you think I'm being dishonest for thinking something. When it's impossible to actually know, and improvable. Nothing says "I'm intellectually honest" like "here's what you really think, because it fits what I want to attack you with."

Tons of people talked about you while you were 'gone'. Your methods are ridiculous. There's no denying that even in the people who enjoy what you're doing, most of which is for the entertainment value, not because they pretend there's some "truth" you're seeking.
Of course, you're upset about me saying "sorry about that", when you attacked someone over email and then posted the conversation here.

yeah, that's "intellectually honest". "Anyone who disagrees with me about this is an idiot" screams "I have an open, honest clarity about this subject."

I'll say it until the day I die, it's an offhand statement. I don't mean "a handful is 4.138 per game". It's a ridiculous thing to argue over, or to be upset over years from it being said.

ha...yes, I act exactly like you do. I occasionally say 'fucking' and I respond to your personal attacks without calling you a fucking piece of shit.
Am I the reason we're not talking about football right now? I was talking about football when you were all "OMG MAGS" and started getting furious. If you shut up about your obsessions and stop attempted to pretend that you're special and people shouldn't question you or say things you don't like, we'd still be talking about football. I'd be happy to bump some threads you decided to stop talking in, if you want.

Oh, I knew what you were saying. You were saying that you don't actually have any figures and were trying to deflect that fact so you can continue your claims based pretty much on how you choose to read benign and ambiguous statements.

You know, doing the kind of shit you usually freak out when everyone one else does it.

So, do you have any actual figures or will you admit that your claims really don't have a basis in fact - you know like you claimed earlier in the thread.

Good Lord. No one was clammoring for Fox's head at all - Richardson drove him out on a ledge. Capers had become a colossal embarasment, so let's not pretend like that was a tough call. And Seifert never had a winning record and closed things out with a 1-15 absolute shitbomb, so let's not pretend like the fans had him run out Anson Dorrance in the 90's or anything.

just to make sure we're on the same page, are you stating that the reason Richardson fired Capers was that he
*heard the fans wanted him out,

    and not

*because he'd lost control of his team, including not suspending a player who choked one of his own coaches?

Evidently you didn't know what I was saying. I was mocking you for being so unbelievably stupid as to think that anyone would have specific numbers besides the agent & team negotiators. When you ask for something someone couldn't possibly have, that's a pretty clear indication that the person asking is playing an angle.

I've posted a variety of sources proving that Carolina's offer was vastly more than Atlanta's. Again, you only come into the Panthers section in order to give me crap. You know nothing about football and have no interest in posting here unless it's to argue with me. Stop wasting everyone's time and go away.

Thanks for proving what I said about you knowing nothing about football and having no idea what the "fans" think. There was a huge push to get rid of Fox, although I personally wasn't part of it. I said Hurney was the main problem all along.

Richardson himself stated that the fan base was a factor in firing Capers. That's not to say that there weren't plenty of other reasons, but those reasons existed before he finally cut the cord.

You're the one who has no proof, magnus. You said: "I've talked about outside deals we tried and failed at." So who was it besides Moss? Who? The Panthers had the second most cap room of any team, but came away with Olindo Mare and Ron Edwards. And kudos for ignoring that you yourself said that it was always Hurney's intention to give huge contract extensions to the players already on the roster, so clearly there wasn't a plan to do much in free agency since you couldn't do both.

    Read:
Magnus, just stop with the dishonesty for at least one post. You posted many times about how cutting the roster deeply leading into 2010 was done to create cap room coming out of the new CBA. The Panthers had cap room because they gave away Peppers for nothing, cut other veterans, and didn't add anyone significant in free agency.

You're deflecting. The point is that you were obviously obsessed with me and bitter. The amount to which you discussed me while I wasn't around proves that, but you can't admit it because you cannot be honest with or about yourself.

There are things that are open for debate, and then there's Michelle Bachmann claiming she can bring gas down to $2 a gallon. Some things are just idiotic, which you certainly know. Think back to the things you used to say to people who championed Dameyune Craig.

What's ridiculous is that you dodged a simple question for multiple pages, all because you knew it would prove you wrong and you were scared to death of having to admit that.

Yes. If you want to post about football, then post about football. No one is holding a gun to your head forcing you to post about me. You do it because that's what you want to do, just as I point out your dishonesty and ulterior motivations because I want to highlight those issues. If you want to discuss football, then shut the fuck up about me and start discussing football. Stop blaming everyone else in the world for the things you choose to do.
