It's probably the only thing the Panthers could do. But likewise Tim B will probably be picked up and succeed somewhere else under a different system. Hell, Snyder will probably pick him up in Washington.

I think if Biak is going to be healthy and ready to go this year, and he costs 1.5m in cap, then we should keep him. If it's around 2.7, then we should ask him to take a pay cut before we just release him. I'm sure he would want to stay with the team.

We gotta trim the space Y2. There's no way around it. It's his last year of the contract anyway.

It is just 1.5 that we save apparently.

I'm getting that bad feeling that Gilbert will except a pay cut.

How would a Gilbert pay cut affect the Cap?

Couldn't change the signing bonus issue.

It'll be interesting to see how these dolts handle this. I say dolts b/c they haven't done much right, I don't know why I expected them to get it right this year.

Well, obviously it trims some fat off the cap. There's nothing we can do about the bonus money, just when do we want to eat it. Now, or later.

I'm just concerned about what we are going to do at RB. I'm ok with Huntley as a back-up, but without TB, we don't even have a potential starter, IMO. What is it going to cost to get a legitimate RB in here, and are going with a rookie or a vet? Guess I have cold feet about no back field when we're planning on running the ball.

    question about new contracts

If they extend the length of Fat Boy's contract, and cut his pay, does the ammortized portion of the bonus money get re-distributed for the longer length?

    That'd be good.

Good move Panthers... only it's a year too late. Better late than never, I suppose.
