    If that's the setup, you also have to give Fitterer "credit" for targeting Cam Erving and Pat Eflein as starters via free agency. Same with burning a second round pick on Sam Darnold.

    Any picking on Sam Darnold and Art will rear his square head and claim Darnold will dominate these last games and be responsible alone for a higher Panthers' draft pick.

    Rhule is on record as saying that he was scouting the Jets and noticed Darnold making all these great throws. He was the one who wanted him. Regarding that and the others, he's not the first coach who's thought that players would magically get better under their tutelage.
