I'll watch the broadcast, but I still feel like he was active from what I saw. I had no problems with any LB play that I saw. I've seen, in my two game study so far, no specific problems with Davis getting off blocks, but I imagine this is just always going to be an issue with you and I. I didn't say "Davis was a beast against the run" and nothing stood out from what I saw, but he was active from my eye in both phases.

I noticed that as well. You could see his activity in the hole but smacking a guy means either being able to knock everyone in the league around - which no one can - or it's time to be a man and square up to a guy and drive him down.

I think it has been a pretty consistent problem, and while I know it's just preseason, I'm a bit concerned that he only has four tackles against the run (and only seven overall) in the three games thus far. Honestly, Beason looks much more active and aggressive. I don't know if it's a scheme issue or a strength issue, but I just haven't seen Thomas Davis around the ball this preseason.

What the fuck defense were we playing? I remember one 3rd and 7 or so, and we had Thomas Davis sprinting 20 yards back before the snap? Are we gonna run a lot more 3-4 this year? Or is Trgo just experimenting?

I noticed that on many pass plays our corners were often deeper than our safeties, Any one want to tell me what's up with that?

Generally, corners play deeper than one safety in a cover 3.

Unsurprisingly, you'll argue anything just to argue.

I am fully aware of pre season attendance, or lack there of around the league, but last night was different. There were more employees than fans in the seats halfway through the 3rd quarter and I don't give a shit what any of you Panther homers say. That was the worst I've seen, in any stadium.

You can't exactly make that accusation when you say something so obviously wrong, especially when other people are also pointing out that it's incorrect.

    T_Schroll:
It depends on the routes run by the wideouts, but it's not unusual in the cover 3.

All these teal loving panther apologists that get so worked up every time you bring up how shitty the fans are.

Did you ever play one down of football to become such the authority around here or is your claim to fame still that you got beat up in a message board fight?
