    From KFFL:

12:52 PT: Panthers.com reports Carolina Panthers head coach John Fox said WR Patrick Jeffers (knee) came into camp on Saturday morning and everything with his surgery Friday went well. Fox said it's just a matter of time on how it'll heal.

12:52 PT: Panthers.com reports Carolina Panthers S Jarrod Cooper (knee) turned his knee during Saturday's practice. Head coach John Fox said it appears be a mild sprain.

12:51 PT: Panthers.com reports Carolina Panthers head coach John Fox has been very pleased with the progress veteran QB Rodney Peete has made with the team thus far. He feels Peete is like another coach for the team, helping second-year QB Chris Weinke along the way.

12:51 PT: According to Carolina Panthers head coach John Fox, the jury is still out on the cornerback position. Panthers.com reports Fox said he's liked what he's seen out of the team's corners but won't have a better idea until they're in game-like conditions later this year. He likes the size of rookie CBs Dante Wesley and Brad Franklin.

  2. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Say it isn't so!!!!!!!!! Knowing Coop, he'll be back as soon as it's healed and he's ready to play! While playing for K-State, he tore (?) or did something to his bicep muslce(s) during our first game in the Eddie Robinson Classic. I'll tell you, it was soooo hard going to the games knowing that Cooper wouldn't be playing. One of the games I went to (probably the one I went to with a fractured tail bone), he came out and warmed up all suited up, but when they came back out at the beginning of the game, he was pretty much dressed out. He did kinda get his "playing" time in during the game though, when he would run out onto the field and get the tee after kickoffs. I couldn't figure out why people were booing after the kickoffs, then I figured out that they were saying COOOOOOOOOOOP! Oh the good ole days!

Hope it's not too bad. Guess we'll find out in the next couple of days how long they expect him to be out.

P.S. Anyone get any pictures of Coop before he sprained his knee?

  4. lol....I used to teach PreSchool. We went to the park on one of our field trips. A parent had come to pick up their child while we were at the park, so I had to get their child's car seat out of the van. While pulling it out, my foot stepped off the curb forcing me to fall on my tailbone fracturing it. All I know is they gave me some good drugs to help with the pain! I took off work that night and the next day (we were gonna leave for the football game after I got off work). But since I told them the doctor said I should take it easy for a couple of days, we left for the football game earlier than scheduled. I took my little cushion with me. The hardest part wasn't sitting, but getting up. That was also the game that 80 some players played. Score ended up being 76-0 (vs Ball State). We didn't even try to run up the score. Our third string qb came in and scored like 2 or 3 TD's alone! But there you go, that's the story of the fractured tailbone!

On a side note, perhaps Peete was showing Weinke what not to do by throwing INTs to defensive lineman.

I'm thinking that Weinke caught a pointer on that by Arrington.
