Panther's need to tank the Chicago game.

Discussion in 'Carolina Panthers' started by BearBryant, Dec 15, 2002.

  1. I have a question, why not start Fasani? I agree with Bear, just take our losses, we need to get a good QB, and a line, Steusse is the only decent lineman we got, we need a whole new line.

Fasani is dog meat and was a throw away pick. We needed another QB and he was there. There is simply no way to get an accurate read on a QB who only has seven games experience as a starter in college.

I vote NO to the notion of tankage

I want us to win the last 2, mostly because playing to win is pretty much the bottom line in pro sports, unless you are a boxing fan who’s into seeing worthless bums take dives . . . I don’t want my team playing the bum role for any reason. We should definitely beat the Bears next week, and it would be a big positive to end the season with a W . . . especially a divisional win in the Aints own front yard.
At 7-9 we would probably be picking outside the top 10. On the positive side we would save some cap and could still grab Woods . . . He’s my guy, and I have a hunch that he will end up at the top of this WR class 10 years from now (even more productive than Rogers). Ya heard it here first.
So don’t worry your pretty heads over missing out on getting one of the top guys. We will still be able to draft the best WR in the 2003 draft

    ‘cause I said so damnit!:D
