I'm saying that how the Panthers' offseason is judged, should be based on what we felt was enough at WR, our other free agent signings, and any impactive draft picks, not players that aren't on our team, because that's irrelevant.

    There.
BTW, how Moose does in regard to our offseason is fucking irrelevant.

The Panthers offseason will be based on how Smith, Colbert and whoever else at WR plays. Not how Moose plays. If the WRs here play shitty then people will say "We should've kept Moose" or something to that effect. What he does in another environment makes absolutely no defference what-so-ever to this team.

But if the wideouts play shitty here, and Moose plays as well in Chi-town as he did in Carolina (which I doubt will happen), than our '05 offseason could be viewed as a failure. If you tie those two things together, than one could argue that it is somewhat relevant. I think that's where Thelt was getting at. Do I agree, not really. Our offseason will and should be judged by our W/L record. If it's good, we made the right moves. If it's 7-9 again, we can argue that the moves were bad.

I will say something that has been said before in another way. No player is not expendable if by trading him you improve the overall team performance. The Vikes will probably be better although they will not have a better receiver than Moss on the team. It is irrelevant what Moose does if we go to the playoffs because we've improved our team by trading him. It is as simple as whether we have helped the team by cuting him and using his cap space to improve the team. Last year we did not do this.

Moose was released because team management did not believe his future production to be worth the contract he was seeking. We made an offer to Moose and he turned it down. Because of that fact you can not say that we released Moose so we could sign Wahle or Lucas. We first attempted to sign Moose. We just were not willing to pay him what he wanted.

How do you judge whether Moose was worth the money or not unless you look at his performance for the Bears.

Not as annoying as when Dukey starts a thread saying "Burees goin to Vikings" and when you open it it's a cut/paste of a John Clayton article, one that has nothing to do with Plaxico Burress or the Minnesota Vikings.

Then underneath the cut/paste he types "taht sownds lik a guud sining." :imagestor

Do you mind going back and reading what we were talking about, so you can start arguing the right point? I posted the word "irrelevant" a good 20 times for a purpose, maybe an even hundred might drive the point home.

Yeah, or the player might go visit according to KFFL, so he calls it a signing. It's funny the first time, and by the third, I'm ready to ban him.
