I hope your kidding about Clarett.

Hey guys, anyone ever heard of a back named DeShaun Foster. Played for UCLA. Maybe he'll be available.

Davis is just beginning rehab. They call it rehab for a reason. You're not well at the start.

The report is partly wrong. The trouble on Jeffers surgery came from a lateral release, where they split a tendon. The Observer had a piece on it.

He's been here for 48 reg season games, been available for less than half of them. So, I reckon he'll be healthy for 7 games. Need to have someone for those other 9.

There are lots of other guys who are or might be available out there. Sean Alexander is probably the top guy followed by Edgerrin James. The guys we should be looking at are guys like Henry, Anthony Thomas, Lamont Jordan, Ron Dayne, Larry Johnson, William Green etc.

I think it is highly likely that Davis will never again be a guy who can handle a heavy load like we put on a back. Foster probably never will be either. We need a legit guy to team with Foster so we can keep him on the field. If we ask Foster to carry the load alone he will go down again.

To that end I would think about cutting Davis and bringing in a starter to split time with Foster. IMHO we do not need a guy who would be happy with third string status we need a starter.

But you gotta remember, the Bills will give us a break on the draft pick and pass up higher offers, and Henry will come in and play for the minimum to prove himself.

    sorry.
Yeah, I dunno. You have to go in with one more back than we have. Would I have a problem with a guy like Kay-Jay Harris in the 3rd starting if necessary? Hell no.

We are a ball control team with a weak to mediocre OL. We need a good back to make our offense work. Starting Goings for long stretches just does not give me a good feeling.

Buffalo is probably not going to get many offers for Henry. If they do then we dont get him. If they accept an offer from us of a third rounder then we get him relatively cheap. He is still under contract so he will play for what he was set to earn next year. We would not have to shell out big money. If he wont play under his current deal then so be it we dont trade for him. In short take him if it is a good deal pass if it is not. All in all he is a much better player than we are likely to get with our own third round pick.

So you say we don't need to add an RB to our roster? I know you didn't say that, I'm presuming that from your mention of Goings, which infers keeping the status quo. Lemme know if I'm mistaken.

I'm thinking Davis will be PUP, if not IR. That leaves Foster, Goings, Smart and Joey Harris as our current options. Dunno if Smart's under contract. I don;t care for Brandon Bennett and Nick Maddox as options, maybe they'll do something in camp.

Smart sucks at HB. Harris doesn't have my confidence. I'd like to have someone else. I'd like to improve at the position. I think the best way to improve is a late first day / early second day draft pick.

I don't think this o-line is as bad we think. The RT is a huge factor in the running game, and needs to be resolved. But I like the other 4 spots.
