    Abusive's keys to victory:

    1. Early shot, first drive, on their safeties. Send 89 on a go, even if he's doubled, and see if (as Gruden says) he can pull it from "a pile of garbage", which is fitting, because their safeties are akin to just that.

    2. Short, WCO type passing. Plenty of 3 step drops. We have 3 solid wideouts who have shown an ability to get off the jam. Gregg the Gash will want to play them tight and blitz. Pass quickly and piss them off.

    3. Running game. First series, would be a treat to see 34 or 28 rip past a 9-man front for a 60-yard TD. Hell, it happens every time we play these fuckers, so why stop now. On top of that, commit to it. It's what won us the Arizona game last year, when nobody thought that was remotely possible, and it's what can help us win again.

    4. Field position. Week one, we dominated, and still lost. Last week, we were embarrassed. Baker and the coverage unit MUST do their job today, and Rhys needs nothing but boomers today. If we're starting drives from our own 10 each drive, go ahead and make a tee time for 2:30.

    5. Catch your interceptions. Meeks has our defense fitting in the right spots, particularly since week one. We have to be leading the NFL in dropped picks, by a mile, if it's even a stat they keep. Just catch the ball and make the O pay for it.

    Panthers win this game today because the Saints--despite what anyone here wants to think--cannot afford to be 1-dimensional. Without their top 3 backs, we have an edge.

    I believe this will be Smitty's coming out party, as well. Once the running game opens up the pass, he'll be 1v1 on corners that are talented, but can be roasted.
