6-5 and still in the playoff picture + 8 days to get things right on the Offense + During the Fox years, this team has always seemed to play better when their backs are against the wall. I'm not panicking yet.

If one wants to say that Fox is telling Henning he has to call a really conservative offense, fair enough, even though they said a few weeks ago that they would have to be more aggressive.

Still, call a conservative gameplan then. Run more. Like I said, with the LEAD, and both teams averaging 4.5 yards a gain in the run, they had run the ball 30 times to our 18. Its not a matter of just being conservative, cattrax. Its a matter of creating a logical and realistic gameplan to attack the defense, one that can exploit any kind of weakness they may have. That did NOT happen today, and nothing close to it did.

It's not entirely on Henning, Purr. You said so yourself on the last page. It's okay if you want to blame him more than the players, but there's nothing that FSF said that should be making you so upset. He said that it's not entirely on Henning, and yeah, he's correct about that.

No. I'm saying that we didn't get as many carries as you would have liked (although we did rush the ball 25 times) because we couldn't convert through the air. It does cut both ways, though. Some of those 3rd downs would have been easier had we run the ball better on 1st down, but we definitely tried to run the ball.

We didn't abandon it for a long stretch. We may have during on one drive during the 1st quarter, but we got a FG off of that drive.

Wrong, and wrong. I'm not scapegoating Carter. I've also called out Gamble, Minter, Jake, the officials, and even Henning in certain instances. And it was definitely not one of the better defended pass of the entire game. If you have TiVo, look again. Carter was in front of his man, got a good jump, but the ball went right through his hands and hit off of his helmet. Was it an easy catch to make? No, but he definitely had a chance to make the play, and there was really nothing that Rogers did to break up the pass.

Carter's hands were knocked as soon as the ball came in. It was good defense. I'd say that was a combination of good defense and a bad pass. Jake looked horrible to me today throwing where the reciever wasn't opened. I could see the frustration on the receivers faces.

We're not really disagreeing Purr. I've been able to recognize a game plan in a couple games we have played (Atlanta last year and Baltimore this year.) We are a very talented team and have won several games in spite our ourselves. It seems that we have no gameplan in most games. The fact that Fox has done nothing about it reinforces my belief that he has no problem with the gameplanning or play calling. I don't advocate firing Fox but I'm not willing to give him a pass either. Henning is here because Fox is happy with the job he does.

Actually, that happened right after the ball went through Carter's hands. Look at the second replay, and slow it down.

I actually commented that it was one of Jake's better throws. It's hard to blame Jake when he bounces it off the receiver's helmet. One of the few good throws he had today.

Shelton would have won the game for us if Carter would have let him.
