    Hot info from 49erAlumnus...

    OK folks, here are the details for this Saturday's tailgating and Panthers game!

    We'll be tailgating in the large field (parking lot) on Bland Street, next to Jillian's South End. If you face the Jillian's main entrance, look to the right and you'll see our parking lot. Look for the UNC Charlotte banner and signs. Parking is $5.

    To get to Jillian's, take I-77 to John Belk Freeway (Exit 9B). Go approximately 1-2 miles and take the South Blvd. exit. Go approximately 1/4 mile and turn right onto Bland Street, just before Jillian's. Our parking lot will be on the right.

    From uptown: Take Tryon Street toward the South End Area. Take a left onto Bland Street. Parking lot will be on the left, across from Jillian's.

    Jason and I will arrive at 4:00 pm to set up. We will be grilling hot dogs and we will have all the fixings. There will also be baked beans and chips. On the beverage front, there will be Pepsi products, water and Carolina Blonde.

    Game time is 8 pm.

    Of course, you are always welcome to bring your own tailgating supplies.

    You will receive your tickets, t-shirts and Panther dollars at the tailgating spot. If you have not paid for your tickets, please remember to bring payment with you. Checks or cash will work.

    There are 139 49ers/Panthers fans signed up! This is going to be a fun evening and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there! If you need to reach me on game day, my mobile # is (704) 488-3664. Feel free to call me if you need anything.

    it's a crying shame uncc does not have a football team. The fan support would definately be there.

    Yep, if we got 139 alumni for this on a 2-week notice plus other UNCC fans who are Panthers season ticket holders already, we could probably easily surpass the season ticket sales for basketball.

    ya, i can get on for about 30 secs at a time.

    i just found this for USF football, i bet if we got a football team, the ticket prices would be close to the same. I don't know about you guys, but thats pretty cheap for 6 home games
