    Big series for the Dodgers. We keep winning games, but we can't pull that far away from San Fran and San Diego. Should be a good series between the Phillies and the Dodgers. Thome is still my favorite player to watch in baseball.

    I know what you mean. The Phillies go into San Diego and sweep but have little to show for it

    wow, we three have something in common. thome is and has been for several years, my favorite player. i remember back in the day him playing the hot corner for the knights.

    wow, he played for the knights? i didn't know that. i need to go back down there for a game, still my favorite place to go for a minor league game. nice ball park too, good and open.

    yep, early 90's sometime. back when the knights were affiliated with the indians. a damn good 3rd baseman he was.

    Yeah the Knights have had some awesome talent run through here. Manny Ramirez was also on the team with Thome. They won the AAA world series that year

    The Greensboro Bats have had the best...Mantle, Jeter, Alfonso Soriento, Mariano Rivera, Ricky Ledee, a bunch of yankees too. 5 yankees were greensboro bats players when the won the world series last.
