Norman not participating in offseason stuff doesn't matter. I think most people realize he will play this year under the tag then go somewhere else. Its been a predictable off season for us. Nice to bring back Johnson and Tolbert. Not sure how much either has left in the tank but Tolbert was better last year than 2014. Boykin would be a nice signing.

There are a few things that make a long term extension for Norman less of a slam dunk than it should be. One of them is his age. I think some people forget that he's already 28 years old, which means that his absolute best football is likely right now. There's no guarantee that he'll be anything close to this level at 31. Courtland Finnegan is 31, or instance, and he suffered a major drop-off after 30. It's not easy to swallow, but it probably makes more sense for both sides to play out 2016 and then move on.

Yeah, I think we should tag him and pay him big this year like they apparently are.

Then see how he plays this year. Hell, if he keeps playing great, tag him the next couple. The tag price is not much different than what he's wanting anyway.

I thought you could only tag him twice.

I'm not sure, but ok, the next two.

You can tag a player three times. But it results in a 44% increase from the year two tag number. That would bring the third year salary somewhere north of $22 million

    Thanks for the clarification.

    Is he Exclusive or Non-exclusive?

I find our lack of punter disturbing.
