Thank you for that. Now that I know, I wish I didn't. :worried:

What's that big white blob at the bottom center of the pic?

A vertabra (probably a thoracic vertabra)- the white lines surrounding the outside of the image are ribs.
Bone is white on these particular types of pictures. Well, I'll say dense things are white. The oral contrast they give shows up white too which you can see some of in the stomach and the colon over on the right side of the picture (left side of patient).

My best friend from High school passed away a couple years ago from what the doctor's said was pancreatitis. He didn't drink much more than an average person, and was only 25. He was pretty heavy, though.

Bottom line... I wouldn't fuck around with it.

    Sorry about your friend, Ace.

My doc didn't mention anything about the pancreas and poked and prodded pretty good. Seems to think it's something with my stomach or colon. She said the colon makes a turn where I pointed to, so we'll see.

I have a friend that was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She started feeling bad late in November and went to the doctor in December. It had already metastasized. :(

Don't mess around. Get to the doctor and find out what it is.

Someone (plu) please explain to me what's involved with a CT scan. Is it yucky? Is it the same type machine as an MRI?

Dude, CT scans aren't shit, they stick you through a giant donut (I got stuck) and make your balls feel like they're on fire. It ain't nothing. Seriously. I had 3 of them before.
