His went from mild discomfort after a meal to on morphine at the hospital in something like 6 hours.

Oh Jeebus young Pogey! You poor thing! I hope to God it's not a gallbladder thing. My insiders tell me ( ;) ) that it could be your gallbladder (the pain can radiate over) - plllease get it checked! You need to be on that plane :crybaby:. That aside - you need to get well and up and racing. You remember that pain I had when I last came over? It sounds similar to mine - but it went away. The pain was similar, but it sort of spasmed (similar to that when you get a `chill' on your kidneys). I hope that you're okay my dear. Let me know how you're feeling :(.

:mushy:HG:mushy: - I'll be on that plane even if Fred gets fidgety and opens the escape door. I'll call to let you know where to send the boat. :)

Dr took some blood and did an x-ray(?). Hopefully will get something back in a day or two. Funny thing....I feel perfectly fine today. Felt real shitty yesterday. Hmmmmm. Maybe I'm preggers.

I think your gallbladder is more on your right side.[Going by the little scars on my torso(I had the gb removed a year or so ago)].

Here is a pic of abdominal anatomy in a cross sectional plane. See the R/L at the bottom for right/left orientation. If your body is a loaf of bread and you reach in about 4 inches above your belly button and pull out a slice-this is where everything is.
The only thing it doesn't show well is the gall bladder because the slice is a little higher but the gb would sit between the numbers 8 and 9.
The head of the pancreas isn't demonstrated well on this slice (usually lower in the abdomen) but it sits around the end of the lines of 8 and 9 and more to the right. The pancreas lies straight across the abdomen in most people but more of it is in the left quadrant ie....tail and body, but the head (where most of the disease usually occurs) is more toward the right.

    6- body of pancreas
    7-tail of pancreas
    8-Inferior vena cava (big vein)
    9-bile duct
    10/11-stomach and air in stomach
    12- spleen
