I wish I could watch it but, I'm stuck with Fla/Fla St. Anyway Palmer is 22-32-249 (2 tds-1 int) at the half

This is the first game I have really watched him closley. Otherwise all I see is a great play here and there, you know like when you have the game on and your listening, but your working on something at the same time. Mostly replays...anyway, his mechanics are pretty good and he's done a nice job of improvising when he had to.
From what I have seen of the top QB's, he's the best pure pocket passer. Nice touch on the deep and intermediate outs especially and hangs the longball out front where it needs to be. It helps that Williams is a HUGE target.

My untrained (not bad) eye say he or Manning would be good picks.

Okay, I'm sold. Lets pick Palmer then take WR Rashaun Woods (Oklahoma St) in the 2nd round.

    Carson Palmer 34-48 429 4 TDS

vs one of the best defenses in the nation.

    I'll take him.

My ONLY concern with drafting Palmer is that he will need a few years of tutoring before he's ready to take the wheel. If he were to start right away, it would slow his development. He'll need a good QB coach and a vet mentor.
That said, I wouldn't hesitate to draft him! Just wouldn't suggest throwing him to the wolves.

I second that! Woods looked unstoppable today. Is he that fast or is Oklahoma's secondary that slow? If he has a good combine he might might climb into the bottom of the 1st.

He's coached by Pete Carroll. He comes from a bigtime school at USC. He's been there 5 years. Have you heard this guy talk yet? He's smart, very smart. What really sold me on this guy was the intereview he did with Jim Rome. (and I think you can still find it on the web site, I'll go look) He's ready to play in the NFL, IMO. He should start right away wherever he goes.
