What's the long term side effects? I may have to be on this shit forever. Oxycodone and/or methadone. Anybody know?

Oxycodone or Oxycontine? Oxycodone is percocet and I can't see them giving that for long term, but they do sometimes. Methadone is slow release and has to build up in your system.
The beauty of oxycontine and methadone is they are pretty much pure narcotic without all the other stuff like tylenol in them but as you know-highly addictive and it's hard to get off of it after you've been on it because the pain relief is so affective.
This is all opinion and what I know from people who've taken this stuff and hearing talk of why they just don't give people meds when they fricking need them. Right now at this minute, I would take it although that stuff scares me but I'm cramping like a bitch wolf :D.
Really though, there are lots of websites of people in chronic pain where you can find really good info on. I researched a lot of this when my Dad started on Methadone, I was opting to find him some pot, but the non hippy side of my family overuled me.

I called the pharmacist, she said there was no ibuprofen or tylenol in this.
They prescribed it for 3 times a day, but I still only need to take it as needed, which is usually 3 or 4 times a week maybe once a day, no more than twice a day. The weird neuropathic condition I have, I have flare ups with no rhyme or reason. Sometimes hardly bothers me at all, sometimes my pain level is an 8 out of 10 in my hands and feet. Can't figure it out. But I have to carry my meds with me all the time.
