    On what grounds? Its not like the kid has a constitutional right to play basketball....or have it paid for.

    Kids can get around the 1 or 2 year redshirt by appealing to the NLI board... and generally in cases where a coach leaves a team the player is allowed those years... as long as he doesn't follow the coach that recruited him.
