    Ozzfest 2003 Announced
    Updated 14:24 PST Tue, Feb 18 2003
Ozzfest is back for the eighth summer with Ozzy Osbourne leading the procession of hard rock bands. While dates and venues have yet to be announced, the performers have been nailed down. Look for Korn, Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, and Chevelle as this year's main stage acts.
Second stagers include Cradle Of Filth, TRUSTcompany, Shadow's Fall, Killswitch Engage, Nothingface, Hotwire, Grade 8, Twisted Method, Unloco, and Memento. More bands are expected to round out the set.
A limited number of lawn seats priced at a bargain low of $10 are available only though venue box offices or other designated locations while supplies last. Other than that, tickets will go on sale in March through Ticketmaster.
Along with the heavy beats, Ozzfest sports its own concessions fair. The Village Of The Damned concourse has been revamped and features video games, piercing booths, tattoo artists and a few surprises.

Hell yea!!! fuckin' awsome!! Manson and Korn!! I've heard of Shadows fall and a couple of the other side stage bands.. This years Ozzfest can only be better than last years.. '02's ozzfest pretty much sucked except for System of a Down, the used, Down, and Hatebreed... other than that not much to speak of.... Manson is back.. Hell yea!! Cradle of filth should be interesting... to say the least...

Ths sucks. They said no posers. I guess they're gonna add Limp Bizkit and Kid Rock to the list. Where is the damn quality metal bands at? I'm cool with Manson, and I guess Disturbed is gonna make a living at Ozzfest.

Where are the metal bands at Twig? And who gives a fuck about Cradle of Filth, except for that one guy on the board?

And who the hell are those other bands?

    Where the hell is Slayer?

I don't know, Twig. It just sounds a little weak to me.:(

I'm not familiar with many of the second-stagers, in fact I haven't even heard of most of them, but Shadows Fall are very much worth seeing. Their latest CD 'The Art Of Balance' is pretty good, and I've heard great things about them live. They're playing in a local club here in the UK in two weeks time (6th March) and I'm really looking forward to it. I believe their next gig after this one is in Ziggy's in Winston-Salem on 11th March. Is that too far from you TW1G?

We live at Ziggy's or at least we used to. Great place to see a show.
