NO. As well as our defense has played, we deserve a shutout.

    bitch.

seriously though- Henning's play calling (although many claim he is working with marginal talent) is downright offensive. The purpose of the offense is to score points, not turn the ball over, and maintain solid field position. Henning has been solid in the latter 2 of the 3- but points is something we are tremendously lacking. I think we have better talent than 13 pts a game- I KNOW we have better talent than that. Our offensive line is above average in pass protection and run blocking- with moose in the mix, we had an ample reciever core that could manage first downs if their number was called. Therein lies the problem- their number aint called not near enough. Yes, smith dropped 3 balls- 1 for a TD and 2 for 1st downs. Yes, moose was slowed by a hammy. Yes, Ike Byrd was out. However, the way our offensive line was protecting- we could have easily strung together first downs through the air. Moose was eating up the quick out and in, we didnt call any plays for the TE (one dump off to mangum), and we practically ignored running a screen. We dont have great talent, not at all, but I think we have enough talent to run basic plays- and we didnt even bother to do that today!! Run the ball at a 3 yd clip all afternoon and punt the ball- that was our fucking mantra.
