Thank you for proving my point. Lawrence had nothing to offer but Roy Williams. That is why he preached loyalty. When you went there you got him. Not the same will Self and Illinois. It has way more to offer a player. I am sure Self mentioned loyalty to his recruits. But Roy's pitch was himself and loyalty. Not the same with Self.

Idiotic comment. What makes you say that? I am not saying I wish Roy wasn't at UNC. Already stated I am glad he is there. Please explain your stupidity.

No Brain - most coaches tell all the big time recruits "come play for me , of course who knows how long I'll be here. I'm not much on the loyalty issue"

Roy is the only one that lies to his recruits like that. I'm sure the 3 year wait was all part of Roy's grand scheme.

I mean he just took his 2nd position after 15 years. He's obviously a Larry Brown clone. give him 3 years and he'll be coaching the Nets I'm sure.

but of course lets not forget that Sly thinks he is a class act.

My original post wasn't a knock on Roy. It was just speculating on whether players will be as quick to trust him. Especially in the near term. Of course that will die down in time.

Explain myself... even though you say he's a good coach you've undercut him more than once... its your attempt to lower his credibility... not because he's a coach... but because he's UNC's coach.

And when UNC beats Duke... you'll say... the refs suck and the only way Carolina can win is to get their help... just like you always do.
