if the networks and studios want the strike over quickly all they have to do is start dragging out old movies for re-release and old tv shows as re-runs. There's a ton of stuff there and 99.9% of it is better than the shit they try and pass off as "quality viewing" today. On the brighter side maybe this kills off some of the puke on tv and in theatres today.

I thought you'd want the Grinch so you could see Cindy-Lou-Who.

No. Most cable shows are not WGA and to my knowledge no gameshow/reallity show is WGA.

ratings are a product of choosing from what's placed in front of you. Cable may be wide spread now, but every one with it doesn't have a movie channel (HBO, Cinemax, TMC, Starz, or any of the rest) option included on their service.

OK lets take a look at the records...Ladder 49, starring Joaqin Phoenix and John Travolta played on AMC on April 26, 2007

    it garnered .3 Rating

it was beat by College Hill on BET, Southpark on Comedy Central, CSI on AE, Chapelle Show on Comedy, Daily Show on Comedy, Underfire on CourtTV, Video Justice on Court TV, Survivorman on Discovery, Girls Next Door on E!, Ace of Cakes on Food, Divine Desgn on HGTV, House Hunters on HGTV, Designed to Sell on HGTV, Buy Me on HGTV, and Modern marvels on history.

    May others tied it.

All these are on the tier as AMC. Therefore exposed to the same audience.

people dont watch movies on TV...why should I do that when I can netflix it.

    you suck at internets.
