Absolutely. The only way you spend the #13 pick on a back is if you think your other ones aren't worth a shit. If they had any faith in DeAngelo whatsoever, they would have done what I expected and grabbed a complementary running back in the second or third round. It was a very deep draft in RBs too.
If you're ok with it, awesome for you. As they say, ignorance is bliss. The fact is that it was a very, very steep price to pay.

    Lofl......

    Its painful watching Laws go.

I so wish we couldve given up our thirds....

I wouldve loved for Laws to be a Panther.

Stewart, Otah, Laws. I couldve been so down with that shit.

Unless I missed a number, assuming our pick next year in the first would have been around 20, then it looks to me that in terms of draft position value we were on the short side by about 520 pts. Based on that we gave up a high second round pick by value to make the move.

The Eagles think we're going to suck and they'll get a top ten pick out of it...and if we don't find some help on the D-front, they could be right.

What if our pick next year is a top ten pick?

That would mean we were dry fucked instead of using some lube.

Then we gave up the equivalent of a mid round 1st and that would suck. It's hard to see us being worse next year than we were last year though.

As noted in a separate thread, we gave up 257 more points on the trade value chart than San Francisco did to make a similar move last season. We got raped, it's as simple as that. There's no point in arguing about it, we just have to hope that the players end up being Pro Bowlers. If either of them isn't, it wasn't worth it. If neither of them are, the franchise is set for a really rough patch.

Why the hell does everybody have such a hard on for Cowher? He had a lot of good teams at Pittsburgh and only won 1 Super Bowl. Seifert won 2, and look how great he was here.

Fox hasn't been great, but we haven't had stellar teams. I'd just as soon keep Fox as see Scowler on the sideline. If we miss the playoffs again this year, I don't care if we get a new coach, but doesn't have to be him.

Not really, just look at how stellar our D-line is shaping up to be.

SHould have gone Otah at 13 and stayed put in the second for a DE.
