    Hey guys - I don't know if you heard on the news about the girl in Kannapolis that was found dead after being missing for several weeks. Her family lives across the street from mine, and this has been a really tough time for them... try to keep them in your thoughts. I can't imagine ever having to go through what they've been through.

    death is one thing but what happended to here is truly f'd up. To die with respect and dignity is what everyone deserves, but from what I read in the paper this morning, the poor girl has been laying in the back yard of an abandoned house for a month now. The guy who found her said you could smell it around the house. That is sad. I hope this wasn't completely random. Surely she was involved in something or someone negative.

    What happened?

    I'll make sure to say a little prayer for her and her whole family. These cases always upset me, but now taht I have a little boy of my own, I can barely even stomach reading about children dying.

    She went missing on Sept. 13, after visiting her boyfriend. She called her mom later that day - apparently everything was fine. No one heard from her again. On Sunday a body was found with her car at an abandoned house about four miles from our neighborhood. The sheriff's office said she was murdered - no other details are being given.

    They're questioning the boyfriend now - it's a pretty messed up situation.

    That's awful. I feel so awful for her parents. I guess the only positive thing that you can say about the whole situation is that they did actually find her so that her parents can know what happened instead of always wondering. God, that's just awful.

    There's nothing being discussed here that hasn't been already on the radio, TV or in the newspaper. The Independent Tribune had a line the other day pointing out the missing posters are still up all over town. I saw one in a restaurant I went in. Really sad remindar of how fragile life really is.
