Let me start off by saying I like Dan Morgan, he's a football guy. Lives it, breathes it, loves it. He's one of those guys who I think knows how lucky he is to be playing a sport for a living. That being said I'm getting a little frustrated with all the injuries that are starting to pile up. The word when he came out of college was that he was tough, heard that he played his junior year with a cast on is wrist after he broke it.(im going on memory from a year and a half ago, so if anyone knows for sure please correct.) I'm not saying he isn't tough, I'm just saying that was the word on him and now he seems to get hurt quite a bit. I am sure that he plays through a lot more than we hear about but I still wonder if this is going to be something that plagues him his entire career of if its just one of those things that once he's "healed" completely will go away. I just don't want him to turn into Fred Taylor....you know, awesome when he is healthy, which is about half the year. Any thoughts?? Any one else concerned???

  2. I think part of his problem is he practices at the same speed he plays and he picks up some injuries that way. I hope he can correct the problem soon, I feel he's the best player on the team.

Not concerened. He got hurt playing on turf in MIN and played 2.5 games that way. He had another injury where he was questionable, and played.

I bet he's back for TB.

It was a nagging injury that needed rest. Just like a hamstring. Apparently, just like a meniscus tear, though that seemed to do as much with seeing Weinke not screw up for a half.

Thats what they were saying about him during the games. If that is what he feels makes him a good football player, I bet it will not be such an easy thing to get him to stop.

  6. I think you're probably right, Sandman. Guys like Morgan have a different mindset. All they know is one speed; all out. Hopefully he can rest it during the bye week and be ready for the second half of the season. Let's hope he doesn't turn into another Muhsin Muhamstring!
