    anyone worried about parking?

    most of the parking is in parking decks.....they are a bitch to get out of after a game.

    there are alot more people who work down there everday than will fit in that arena

    New Uptown Arena: Fantasy vs. Reality

    Based on taking the tour Sunday (Bobcats) & tonight (Checkers), I've noticed a few things between what was going to be built vs. what was built (based on what was shown on the Bobcats & City of Charlotte websites):

    1) What happend to the video screen that was going to be right next to the light rail/trolley bridge? It looks like the videoboard on the building has replaced this. Budget cut perhaps :confused: ? ? ?

    2) Videoboards were suppose to be up on the main entry ways to the north & south side of the building. What's up there now are generic signs (Sting/Bobcats/Checkers & Thanks for visiting the arena signage).

    3) The Concourses were suppose to be themed areas (i.e. transportation, industry. Check the City of CLT website for details). All I've seen were sticky placards on the floor promoting intersections throughout the area.

    4) We know about the Terrazo floor being evident only in the main lobby area. Should the team even bother putting it down in the rest of the building in the future? I wouldn't miss it that much.

    That's all I've seen so far. Did anybody see anything else :confused: ? ? ?

    Gosh i hope not!

    not unusal though when finishing a project(touchup, late arrival stuff) and Grand Openings planned years in advance.

    interesting to see if these items are in place next year??
