    I kept hearing this year was the last year of the NIT - does this mean no NIT next year, or cut it down to 28 teams? Or it stays the same?

    well I would imagine it will be back with 32 teams. If the NCAA had gone to 96 teams I'm sure the NIT would have been dead.

    It's always about the money. I bet if the NCAA didn't get the new 14 year TV deal it wanted the Tourny would of expanded to 96 teams instead.
