    In Lonesome Dove where Gus dies with Captain Call at his side, and Call fulfills his promise to bury his friend under a certain tree damn near halfway across the country. Tears of grief fill the Captain's eyes as he stands over Gus's grave and says, "Guess that'll teach me to be more careful about what I promise... in the future..."

    I can't think of a favorite. But, the most memorable moment would be when they shot Ole Yaller. Damn what a tear jerker.
