    Doh, you are right of course. There used to be three spots......

    Anyway we are closer than it appears to being in one of those spots. We have 5 losses. The teams ahead of us all have 4 losses or are leading their divisions. I do not see any of those 5-4 teams going 11-5.

    A 5-2 finish is a pipe-dream. Not only do we play good teams down the stretch, but we play teams that are horrendous match-ups for us. As a fan, I definitely hope that we can get some breaks and it works out, but as a realist, it just doesn't look likely at all.

    as realistic as it MIGHT get IMO is the panters put together a nice lil' win streak only to lose the last four games to superior teams and go -


    7-9


    . .. and that "standard carolina play not to lose" record would insure that no significant changes would be made in the off season :wheelchair:

    I think we go at least 7-9. 9-7 might be stretching it. We would need some luck and to catch some good teams resting players.

    come on...that was nearly 10 seasons ago. not yesterday.

    we aren't going 11-5 either. we might get wins versus dolphins, jets, bucs and maybe saints if they have nothing to play for. that's 4 maybe wins. don't buy so heavily into the recent upswings in all the useless power polls and whatnot.

    yea I whiffed on the number of wild card teams.....

    If we keep playing like we have been, including Jake not having turnovers, we have a fair chance to beat any team in the league....
