    Larry, I like the idea of this forum. And I like the discussions that occur here. BUT....I think Spirituality would be a better name since not all people are religious and I see more discussions opening up as a result. Just my $0.02 worth. Anyone?

    Either-or is fine with me. The resulting discussions will pretty much fall under the same umbrella.

    Spirituality is just a method of trying to understand life and its deeper implications, whereas religion is a recommended set of behaviors meant to help Man avoid self-destruction. One deals with the internal, the other, external.

    "Spirituality" does seem a little more all-encompassing. But if it were to stay "Religion" it probably wouldn't make a huge difference. Most of us pretty much get the idea. But that's just me talking.

    Really, the name doesn't matter. But I just want to know that we can discuss other things beyond the major religions. I'm not going to start a thread advocating the worship of NYC pigeons, but my beliefs tend to border more on spirituality than religion. Miss_tery is another. Anyhoo, glad to see others have opinions.

    Larry, religion is a great name, in fact I can't see how you could call it anything else.
