ESPN Classic is doing a marathon on the World Series of the 1970's on their DRIVE THRU shows (1 hour recap of all the action). They are airing the live taped broadcast and not the MLB Highlight video mind you :) !!!!!!!!!! It sounds like Curt Gowdy & Vin Scully are calling the action (Curt sounds more like the PbP guy with Vin providing commentary).

Wooowwwwwwwwwwww, look at a young Bill Buckner in the field, Steve Yeagar behind the plate. Jimmy Wynn (The Baby Cannon, or was it the Ball Bull his nickname) was the big home run threat for the Dodgers at 32 for the regular season (for playing in Dodger Stadium, that is a lot :) !!!!!!!!!!!). Hmmmmm, is that Reggie Jackson at the plate (who turns 62 today . . . Happy Birthday Mr. October   !!!!!!!). I also see Ron Cey, Steve Garvey, & Davey Lopes in action as well . . . Hey, Tommy Lasorda is the 3rd base coach as well (not as pudgy yet :D :D !!!!)

Yikes, what time did the game start? It must've been high noon in LA with the sun that high up (4pm ET start time perhaps)?

Wiki Page on the 74 Series . . Hmmm, check out the final score of each game . . . That's very peculiar :) !!!!!!
